Georgia Tech-Europe (GTE), established in 1990 and located in Metz, France, is the European Instructional site of the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech). The Georgia Institute of Technology, or Georgia Tech, is one of the top public research universities in the U.S., developing leaders who advance technology and improve the human condition.

Operating year round, the GTE comprehensive academic site offers courses towards Georgia Tech graduate degrees in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. Graduate students enroll for portions of their programs in Metz and then typically transfer to the main campus in Atlanta. GTE also offers undergraduate semester abroad programs open to all majors, including the First-Year Semester Abroad (FYSA) program.

Georgia Tech-Europe is also home to Georgia Tech-CNRS IRL2958, a joint international research laboratory with the CNRS, the French National Centre for Scientific Research, and to Institute Lafayette, an innovative technology platform in optoelectronics that integrates cutting-edge academic research with the Institute's mission of Progress and Service.
