Students will receive a local emergency phone number that is monitored 24/7.

Students will be notified when they have a package waiting. Do not send mail or packages to the dorms.

Health & Medical

Students have 24/7 access to an emergency contact who can advise on how to obtain medical services.

While there is no onsite medical clinic at GTE, a nurse is available at least once a week to provide consultation and referrals.

CISI (Cultural Insurance Services International) Insurance: Undergraduate students subscribe to a mandatory medical insurance policy through CISI, valid for the program length.

Supplemental insurance for additional days is available at a cost of $1.36 per day.

Graduate students staying for just one semester at GTE will be required to purchase CISI insurance as instructed by our staff. Those staying two semesters or more will 

Safety & Security

GTE Campus: The campus is fenced and gated with onsite security.

Student Residences: The dorms are accessible only to residents via secure entry.

Weekend Travel: Travel advisories are monitored by local staff, and students are advised of trouble areas and check-in procedures in case of emergency.
