In this month’s Office of the Provost Newsletter, the new First-Year Fall Abroad Program in GT Lorraine was highlighted, recognizing the Nunn School’s Dr. Vicki Birchfield for her work in making the program a reality.
“This group [iGniTe first-years] also includes our first students in the new First-Year Fall Abroad program at Georgia Tech. After the iGniTe program, these first-year students will spend the fall semester at Georgia Tech-Lorraine. What an amazing experience it will be for them! Enormous thanks to everyone who made this happen, including Vicki Birchfield, co-director of the Center for European and Transatlantic Studies and professor in the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs; Steven Girardot, interim vice provost for Undergraduate Education; De Morris Walker, director of Summer and Special Session Initiatives; and many others.” – Steve McLaughlin, Provost and executive Vice President for Academic Affairs
